Sophie Williams is a Rhode Island based designer, with a degree in Graphic Design from the School of Visual and Performing arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her dream of becoming a designer is more and more rewarding every day.
My passion for design started at a young age. From crayons and coloring books to digital art boards, creative details were always my fuel to inspiration.
I have a strong interest in typography and print design, as I am inspired by creative books and magazine layouts. When day dreaming about my future, an absolute dream come true is to work for a magazine company where I hope to grow as a designer and straighten my skills in editorial design.
I believe design is a powerful form of expression. I am very committed to graphic design and the place it holds in my future. I have an eye for detail and am able to translate ideas visually. I am open to anything creative and always searching for inspiration. I am able to grasp new ideas quickly, great in time management and skilled in creating unique design solutions that communicate effectively.
In college I knew that I always wanted to inspire others with my creativity. I wanted to help them bring their ideas to life and I’m thrilled to be doing that today! I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a degree in Graphic Design. In April of 2015 – I had the opportunity to display my work in an art show at the New Bedford Art Museum in New Bedford MA, ‘Rise’ a campaign created to stop violence against women, featured a poster series designed by myself and fellow graphic designers. Our goal was to make a difference around college campus’ and our surrounding communities.
This platform will be used for showcasing my design work, creative outbursts and blogging my creativity and inspirations. I appreciate you stepping into my creative world and hope that you visit often!
